At the age of twelve she was given her first part in High Society. Her performance was recognized with numerous awards and nominations despite the fact she was still a small child. In 2003, she was an actor in part-time roles in A Little Night Music. She made her film debut at Camp in the same yearat age 15. Kendrick was nominated for a Grammy Award for her performance as well as Rocket Science 2007.
