Sara Eisen

SaraSara Aliza Eisen is an American television journalist presently affiliated with CNBC. She serves as the co-anchor on the channel's shows 'Squawk On the Street' (Closing Bell) and 'Squawk in the Street' (CNBC). She's an Ohio native, and was not keen on markets or currencies during her time in college. While attending New York University she interned for ForexTV.com. It was there that she garnered her first experience dealing with business news. The Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University gave her a master's degree in broadcast journalism. The internship was for the duration of four months at Bloomberg TV, Hong Kong. After she returned to US and began to work at Bloomberg's office in New York. She was eventually a TV anchor. CNBC appointed her as a correspondent in December 2013. Before she was hired as a correspondent on 'Closing Bell', she was co-anchoring 'Worldwide Exchange' and Power Lunch'. Eisen has been co-anchoring 'Squawk on the Street' since 2014. Her main area of focus since her arrival at CNBC has been global news for consumers.
