Awkwafina began as a American rapper and singer, making sly songs that addressed topics like racial or sexual identity with a comedic twist. Prior to her move into Hollywood, she had the opportunity to release a number of songs. Nora Lum began her musical journey as a trumpet player. She was born in Forest Hills Queens, she was a child of Chinese immigrants as well as Korean immigrants. After a classical and jazz education, she delved into hip-hop in her teen years.
